Since those pieces are small, it is safe to monitor for any GI signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, lethargy or a decreased appetite. There is a good change that can pass through and you will never notice a problem over the next 24-48 hours!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Oh no! I would check his stools to see if they pass. If he can't pass them then the signs would be vomiting, not eating, lethargy. You can also have an X-ray taken to see if they are inside him! I hope this helps!

If not, then you will not need to worry about it. Intestinal transit time can vary greatly. It could pass today or tomorrow or it could be a long time. These seem like they would be pretty digestible, so I wouldn't be particularly concerned. If the chew was lodged in the esophagus I expect you would notice coughing, gagging or regurgitation. You should still monitor Marvin for those signs and for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea.

In the majority of cases such a small rubber band should not cause any problem and should pass easily through the intestines, just monitor her in the next few days, signs to be concerned about include vomiting, constipation, lethargy and lack of appetite.
