Hi, if the wrapper has been thorn into pieces it will probably pass through his gastro intestinal tract together with other food. If it was a large piece swollowed as whole, there is the risk of obstruction and you need to monitor him closely for any vomiting or diarrhoea or straining to go to the toilet or abdominal pain. This should be pass through the intestine without causing major problems. I would recommend to monitor Coco for the next 48hours for any sign like lethargy, inappetence, vomiting or having diarrhoea. If that was the case a check up would be ideal.

Hi and thank you for reaching out about Banner. He should be ok. Watch for any vomiting, decrease in appetite, or diarrhea. You should find it come out on the back end later today or tomorrow. There is a small risk of problems but most likely it will pass thru without any complications. I would feed him a good size bulky meal of wet food now to help pass the paper clip on down. If you have any concerns you can have an X-ray taken at anytime. It will show up on there very easily.

It sounds as Leo is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to the ingestion of the plastic foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal upset he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I've had several dogs develop GI obstructions from bottle nipples and pacifiers. If you have another piece similar to the one he swallowed, bring that to show the vet - it can also help to place it on the x-ray table next to the dog, to see what sort of density it would have on x-ray. Based on the size, shape, and density of the bottle nipple your vet can discuss with you if it might be safe to try to induce vomiting, or if you should consider endoscopic or surgical removal. Time is of the essence, as you will have better options as long as it's still in the stomach and doesn't pass into the intestines! Good luck! Hope this helps!
