8-week puppy in summer: Bath frequency, safe fruits, & staying cool?

Hey there, actually i want to ask about my puppy's diet and bath routine he is currently 8 weeks old retriever thick coat puppy and here in Pakistan summer season is going on i have noticed that he just dont like to even stay for minutes in sun and always try to pour all the water out of his bowl and would site in it,remains more active in evening time so in accordance with this how often should i give him bath also tell me is it safe to give some fruits becuz he likes to eat fruits like apple

Muffin is so cute. Since it's hot out, he will want to be cool, don't force him to stay outside. He could get heat stroke, which is deadly. Keep him in a cool area every day. I wouldn't bath him until he's at least three months of age, and then only once a month unless he's very dirty. Some fruits are safe to give him, check out this link below on which ones are safe. 8 weeks old is the minimum age to begin bathing a puppy. Use a pet approved shampoo for puppies sensitive skin. She can be bathed every 6-8 weeks. You can use plain, unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to spot clean her in between baths. If you bathe her at night, dry her thoroughly and keep her war to prevent chill. It is best to bath her early in the day so she has ample time to dry off and doesn't go to sleep damp.

Aw Snoopy is adorable! Yes you can bathe him but I would use something very gentle like a puppy shampoo. I do not recommend using a flea shampoo as these can sometimes be too strong for puppies. You can bathe him every 2-3 weeks unless he gets really muddy/stinky and needs a bath otherwise. I hope this helps!

Most dogs can have a bath every 2 weeks with an oatmeal type shampoo or hypoallergenic shampoo. I think flavored toys are fine for most dogs. Just make sure Lucky doesn't eat the toys! I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would not use shampoo or soap. Bathing her twice daily with soap will dry out her hair. If you want to keep her cool then just spray her down with water or provide a baby pool for her to lie in to keep cool. I wish you and Jacky the best!

Hello, and thanks for your question. You can start both of these things anytime! 6 weeks of age is an ok time to start treats, and give a bath if needed. What's the best way to clean my dog after walks without bathing?
I would recommend bathing him every 2-4 weeks as needed to prevent overdrying of the skin. An oatmeal based puppy shampoo is great to use. Then in between baths you can use puppy wipes which are found at your local pet store. This works wel to my overdry your pet but also keep him smelling fresh. : ) I hope this helps!

Is it safe for my 1-month-old puppy to sunbathe in hot weather?
Nanga can lay in the sun, but it's best that's done through a window indoors in the air conditioning. She should not get too hot, or that will cause heat stroke. Do not let her do this outside as I know it's extremely hot in Australia at the moment.
