Puppy sneezing: Is it from deworming, new food, or sickness?

Intestinal worms are common in puppies, and that could be the cause of her diarrhea. She could have a respiratory infection or irritation of the nasal passages causing the reverse sneezing. Since she has not gotten better, it's time to see a vet. I'd take her into one in the morning. Best of luck.

Hi,t hanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dewowmers have the potential to cause an upset stomach such as vomit, diarrhea and decreased appetite. Though I am worried something else is going on since you lost a puppy recently. I worry most about parvo virus in puppies this age, especially if they are yet to be vaccinated. I would have this puppy seen today by your Vet and tested for parvo virus as it is VERY contagious and if it is the cause it will likely affect the entire litter. If it isn't parvo the Vet can at least get this puppy feeling better and prevent dehydration. Good luck!

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. Sneezing can definitely be due to allergies and that is probably the most common reason. Some medications for allergies can be started for this to be used on an as needed basis. If her diarrhea or sneezing persist, I recommend that you have Irie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea and/or allergies depending on the results of needed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sneezing can be a sign of an allergy, yes. Sneezes can also be a sign of an upper respiratory infection as well. I would recommended Kaya see her veterinarian for an exam so her vet can determine whether or not she has an infection or whether it is just caused by an allergy and to determine what treatment may be most appropriate. Coso is probably recovering from an upper respiratory infection or cold, or kennel cough. This may take another week or two to fully resolve. As long as he's eating and acting normal it's nothing to be overly concerned about. Should he stop eating, be lethargic or the sneezing doesn't clear up in a week or so then a veterinary exam is in order. Puppies often get sick when together especially in a shelter or rescue situation and heal quickly once in a home with better care and nutrition.
