New puppy has diarrhea, sneezing, and peeing a lot. What's wrong?

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. Sneezing can definitely be due to allergies and that is probably the most common reason. Some medications for allergies can be started for this to be used on an as needed basis. If her diarrhea or sneezing persist, I recommend that you have Irie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea and/or allergies depending on the results of needed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Nala! The crying is normal for an 8 week old puppy in a new home. The vomiting and diarrhea is not normal and is not anxiety. Possible causes of vomiting and diarrhea are: intestinal parasites, viral (especially parvo) or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion, reaction to new food/treats or a food allergy. Nala is very young and small. Not eating well combined with vomiting and diarrhea predisposes her to dehydration and low blood sugar risks. I highly recommend having her seen today and bring a stool sample. Also bring any paper work indicating recent vaccinations and dewormings. I wish you and Nala the best!

The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Reeses evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. Oh my. Poor puppy. Female puppies are high risk for getting urinary tract infections and his causes frequent urination, foul smelling urine, and accidents in the home. This is likely what is going on with Hazel. She needs to be seen by your local vet for a urinalysis (urine test) and oral antibiotics if confirmed. She also sounds like she has an upper respiratory infection as well. Both issues can respond to the same antibiotic medication so schedule an appt with your local vet soon to get her the proper treatment. The runny nose may be due to something like an upper respiratory infection. I recommend that you have Cooper evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Aww Pippo is adorable!! The sneezing could be caused by her inhaling some food (or milk?). It could also be due to having the Bordetella vaccine (if she's already had that). Monitor her closely for nasal discharge or wheezing when breathing, and if you see either, take her into the vet. Give her plenty of opportunities to go outside to relieve herself.
