Why does my dog have breathing sounds and sneeze? Is it congestion?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 14 days old | 5.3 lbs

i hear occasional sounds from chest and respiratory system of my dog. this is audible mostly when i try to pick him ul. is he going through congestion? he also sneezes sometime.

This is something that if confirmed, your veterinarian could prescribe antibiotics. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Best of luck!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be due to allergies. There could also be a component of an upper respiratory infection. Medications can be used for both which would help. I do not thing this is related for he pneumonia episode 3 years ago. I recommend that you have Sam evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If they agree with this possibility, they may prescribe medications at that time. Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Coughing, sneezing, along with mucous sounds suspicious of a upper respiratory infection. I would recommend Bubba be seen by his veterinarian as soon as possible. Your veterinarian will do an exam and may recommend x-rays to better evaluate the infection and help determine the cause. Bubba may need to be placed on antibiotics or other medications as needed to help clear the infection. I hope this helps!

My dog has a stuffy nose, snorts, and sneezes. Can she go to class?

This warrants a veterinary evaluation for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to evaluate her and if this seems likely, start her on antibiotics. I do not recommend that you take her to an agility class tomorrow as she needs to rest and also keep in mind that this could be infectious and contagious putting other dogs at risk. Best of luck!

It is very important that you have Teddy evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to gather more information and proceed with an exam to determine what would be best at this point. They are likely going to consider prescribing antibiotics. I am hoping for a speedy recovery!
