Are carrots and coconut safe for my puppy to eat and chew on?

Neither pasta nor coconut is detrimental for your puppy, however you should not use these as your' puppy's regular food. Your puppy needs a complete puppy food for large dogs. If you feed coconut, it should be shredded, and not in pieces as it could cause an intestinal blockage. And if you feed pasta, make sure there is no onion in the pasta, and just add it to his normal food as a treat.

Coconut water can be given as an occasional treat, but water is the only liquid Mila needs to be healthy. As for the coconut skin, yes it is ok for her to have a little, but again only as an occasional treat and she can never have the husk of the coconut.

You do not have to worry about too much vitamin A coming from a carrot. Your dog would have to eat a lot of carrots to ingest a toxic amount of vitamin A. A small amount of coconut milk would be fine as long as it doesn't cause any gastric upset. If you are trying to soften the food you could also try a small amount of puppy milk replacer or just water.

Most fruits and vegetables are fine. You need to avoid grapes, raisins, onions, garlic or any fruits/veggies that are within these families. Sweet picture! I would not worry about giving vegetable if you feed a good commercial puppy diet. For chewing purposes, a small Kong toy with frozen peanut butter may do the trick. If you want to give treats that are veggies, try frozen green beans. I hope Toffe will be a great companion!
