My puppy is biting. What safe vegetables can I give him to chew?

Yes, you can feed some vegetables in small amounts. Asparagus, Bell peppers (red, green, yellow), Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Green beans, Pumpkin, Sweet potato are all fine to feed to a dog. Do not feed anything with onions or garlic as they can both be toxic to dogs.

This is very common for this age since they are starting to lose their baby teeth and get their adult teeth at this time. Make sure he has plenty of chew toys and bones to play with. I like plain flat raw hides. They can have one a day. If there is something particular he is chewing on, you can put a dab of Tabasco or bitter apple spray to prevent the chewing. This will sometimes helps. When you aren't able to monitor him I would put him in a crate so he doesn't chew something that might harm him. You do not have to worry about too much vitamin A coming from a carrot. Your dog would have to eat a lot of carrots to ingest a toxic amount of vitamin A. Ccarrots are a good treat, however not good for teething. You will need to cook. the carrots and give them cooked. A raw carrot can cause an intestinal blockage. I do not think you need to give any teething aids at this age.
