Can my 10-week puppy play in the backyard after second shots?

It is impossible to know for sure if you have parvo in your yard. If you know for certain that your yard has never had another dog in it, Taz is likely fine to be in the yard. However, if you don't know for sure, I would limit the amount of exploring Taz does in the backyard to play it safe until 1 week after his final vaccination. If he's in a carrier and not in contact with other pets with unknown vaccine history, or on strange ground it should be OK. If the garden area is your own private residence area, and no other dogs frequent it, it should be OK to let Django out to potty and play on it.

As long as Lola is only playing in your own yard with your other dog the risk for parvovirus infection is low. I would still recommend avoiding places like dog parks where you can't be sure of the health status of other dogs. It's fine to take her to your back garden only before she is vaccinated, as long as there is no access to other dogs in your garden. she can catch fleas so i would recommend treating her for fleas regularly once she starts to go out.

I wouldn't take Koda into the backyard just yet because parvo can live in then environment for months. If her shots aren't complete, she still runs the risk of catching it from the environment. I'd take her in the front yard if your previous puppy hadn't gone there, but wait until she is fully vaccinated before taking her into the backyard. Best of luck!

There is a fine line between socialization, house training and exposing the puppy to infectious disease. Most of the worrisome disease are from direct dog to dog contact from sneezing/coughing or fecal-oral. I think your yard is fine. I do not recommend contact with other puppies or dogs are not vaccinated. Keep her up to date on her DHPP by getting it every 3-4 weeks until she receives 2 past 12 weeks of age.
