Why is my puppy peeing tiny drops constantly and seems to be in pain?

It can be hard to differentiate puppy behavior from disease without testing the urine. Based on these results, medication can be prescribed if a urinary tract infection is found. Your puppy may have a urinary tract infection. Since puppies can deteriorate very quickly (they heal quickly as well), I suggest you make an appointment with your veterinarian. He may need to be prescribed antibiotics and pain medicine.

I would not do anything at this point. Just monitor her and see how she does over the next day or so. It would be odd for a puppy this age to have a UTI so if she doesn't seem better by Monday you should have her examined by a vet. Vets are open for urgent care and emergencies.

If the antibiotics didn't make much difference, I'd be suspicious of puppy vaginitis, which is a relatively common inflammatory condition that can lead to accidents and sometimes make them more susceptible to urinary infections. It generally resolves with age. I would also check for a stricture (this may require sedation as they don't love vaginal palpation...). For now, since your vet hasn't been able to check a urinalysis, that would be the first priority. See if you can get a sample- sneak a small container under her when she squats. If you have to hold onto the sample a few hours before dropping it at your vet, stick it in the fridge, but the fresher the better. If you're having no luck, your vet can collect a sterile sample via cystocentesis. Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry to hear Oly isn't feeling well. There is a chance he can have a urinary tract infection, which will cause a dog to urinate frequently and in small amounts. This can be treated by a vet with antibiotics. I recommend bringing him to see a vet if these symptoms persist. There is no home remedy you can do for this. It is not an emergency unless he is not urinating or seems to be in pain. I suggest taking him to the vet tomorrow and bringing a urine sample if possible, or not allowing him to urinate at least an hour or so before the appointment so they can get a sample.
