What does it mean if my puppy has mucus in her stool? She has a yellow slightly loose stool with pinkish discharge. Should I consult my vet immediately? And are there any home remedies for it? Thank you so much.

The most common causes of stool changes in a puppy is GI parasites so I suggest have Hailey's stool evaluated by a veterinarian. Your veterinarian can check for parasites and prescribe an appropriate medication to treat.
Other causes of stool changes in a puppy can include infection, diet sensitivity or changes, or internal organ issues. If Hailey's diarrhea continues or she shows any other signs of illness she will need to be examined by a veterinarian. If the mucous or blood tinged stool persists hailey could become dehydrated, anemic, or malnourished.
Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and I hope Hailey is feeling better soon!
