Why is my puppy itching with pink patches under his armpits and upset?

He will need to be examined, started on his vaccinations and deworming. The rash can be addressed as well. It's very possible that your Pet may have a type of mange and/or secondary bacterial infection. You'll want to visit your local Veterinarian and request a skin scraping to rule out the presence of any mite or mange. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics). It could be caused by many different things. He could have demodex, ringworm, flea allergy dermatitis, scabies, etc. Since he is constantly itching, he should be examined by a vet to determine the exact cause. Your vet can do a skin scrape, culture, cytology, etc. to help diagnose and then prescribe the best medications to treat. I do not think apple cider vinegar will give him the relief that he needs.

At her age I would be concerned she has mange (scabies) due to the itching and locations. It is hard to find and actually mite on them but very easy to treat just to be safe. Some puppies get a puppy pyoderma which is little pustules and bumps on their bellies. Most out grow this but few need antibiotics to help when it occurs. She is young to have allergies but it is not impossible. I would have your vet recheck the skin for mange and do weekly baths to help

There are several potential causes for Arjun's itching. Fleas could be a cause, and even if you don't see fleas, even on tiny flea can be enough to cause itching. I recommend starting with a flea treatment to see if that helps. Mites can cause itching, and so can allergies. These can be allergies to food, or to something in the environment. There are prescription allergy medications that your veterinarian could give to Arjun. You could also try fish oil supplements to see if that helps. If he has scratched himself to the point he is bleeding and has wounds, these can get infected, and the bacterial infection itself can cause continued itchiness. It could be a fungal infection or a mite infection. These are common in puppies and young dogs and present typically around the face, nose, muzzle and eyes. Your veterinarian can diagnose these potential conditions with a few simple skin tests. I would recommend Max visit his vet soon to have the possibilities above diagnosed so he can be treated with the proper medication.
