My puppy's eyes are closed after Frontline. What should I do?

Yes, it is fine to use Frontline on your older dog with Kobi in the home. According to Frontline FAQs on their website, it is safe to use it on the puppy as long as he is eight weeks of age, but given that he is small in weight, to be safe, keep the older dog away from the puppy until the Frontline is completely dried, about 24 hours. You can wash the product off his har with Dawn dish soap (it is a grease/oil remover). Then wait 24 hours and apply the Frontline again. If you can't get the topical product on him effectively you may need to switch to an oral product or use a Seresto collar. One Seresto collar lasts up to 8 months. It is very cost effective and easy to use. You didn't mention the age of your puppy so be sure to read all package instructions to make sure products are safe to use on whatever age your puppy is. Poor guy. He needs his eyes flushed copiously with eye irrigating solution. You can find this over the counter. It is a potential that he could develop a corneal ulcer due to the chemicals from the spray. Blindness is a potential but it is preventable as long as you monitor this closely. Monitor his eyes for redness, discharge (yellow/green), or irriation (pawing at the face). Have Bruno seen by your vet right away if these complications develop. For future, the fipronil sprays are not the best to use for tick prevention. I would instead recommend the Seresto collar, or oral flea/tick prevention (Nexgard, Bravecto) from your vet. For acute bites, you should use tweezers to remove the tick (must get the head and mouthparts) entirely. I hope that your fur baby Bruno does well moving forward. Take care! : )

I never consider flea shampoo safe to use, so my answer is no, instead if he has fleas i would recommend using one of the followings (which you can use right away): Bravecto, Nexgard, Advantage, Comfortis.

If the puppy is over 8 weeks of age and you use the correct dosage for their weight, it should be fine. I would keep an eye on them until the application spot is dry just in case they are curious and try to lick.

I'd have Sergeant checked out by a vet right way. A flea bath shouldn't cause these pustules, it may be he has a skin infection called puppy pyoderma. The weeping goopy eyes wouldn't be caused by a flea bath unless it got into his eyes. It could be he has an eye infection. Please take him into a vet now. Best of luck.
