My puppy is eating less but acting normal. Should I be worried about him?

As your puppy gets older he will need to eat less frequently so this type of behavior is normal. As long as Mokibis continuing to grow and put on weight like a puppy should I would not be too concerned.

If he is acting normal in every other way, I would not be overly alarmed. I tend to worry if a dog is urinating much *more* than they used to, or is not urinating at all. If you are concerned, you can have him checked by a vet to make sure there is no indication that he is ill and therefore drinking less (and perhaps dehydrated, which could cause him to produce less urine) - but if he is still acting completely normal, this slight decrease in urination is probably within the range of normal. As long as he is on a good quality, large breed puppy food and is otherwise well, normal growth and a healthy, shiny coat I would not change his diet. The more variety he is offered at this age the more likely he is to develop into a picky eater and refuse foods regularly! Most pups will have a reduction in their appetite as their growth slows, or ha may have picked up a mild infection etc. Monitor over the next 5-7days a schedule a vet check if any further symptoms develop

At this age it is expected for your puppy to eat less. Usually between 6-8 months of age puppies have less calorie requirement and will go from needing three meals daily to two meals daily. As long as she continues to eat dualy, act normal and is playful there likely isn’t anything to worry about. Best wishes and take care.

If he is behaving normally otherwise, continue feeding a bland diet for a few days. He may just have some minor stomach upset. Afterwards, transition slowly to the regular diet. Monitor for extreme lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

Hello. If he's bright and alert and feeling well drinking water no vomiting and no diarrhea I would not be too concerned at this time. But if he refuses to eat tomorrow or shows any signs of lethargy loss of activity vomiting diarrhea, he does need to be seen as soon as possible. Hopefully he'll feel better in a day or so. It could just be an off day for Kira, and she may have an upset stomach. Given that she is eating a little bit and still drinking water, I'd keep an eye on her for now. If she stops eating altogether, she keeps eating very little for the next 24 hours, she stops drinking water, she becomes lethargic, or she develops other signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, I would take her into the vet.
