Puppy diarrhea, white spots in poop. Are they worms? Vet or wait?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltipoo | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 14 days old

My dog has diarrhea all day today since the morning and she's pooped about 5 times today.I read online said that if she has white spots on her poop it might indicate that she has worms inside her. she's been herself with the same energy, payfulness, and appetite. She is 2.5 months old, has received her first dewormer and parvo shot 2 weeks ago.do you think I should take her to the vet hospital or do you think I can wait till Monday to take her to a cheaper clinic? Do you think these are worms?

As long as Popcorn is behaving normally, you can probably wait until the morning. Given her age, consider submitting a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites and/or repeating the deworming. Pups are typically dewormed every 2 weeks for 3-4 treatments since parasites are common. Afterwards, use a monthly preventative to keep her parasite free.

However, if the puppy is eating, playing and drinking, and is acting normally, then you can wait until tomorrow. If the white specks in his poo look like grains of rice or sesame seeds then it is likely your dog has tape worm. ask your vet to treat your puppy for the parasites he diagnosed via a fecal sample (if he has not done a fecal sample, take some fresh poop to your vet for a fecal exam). You may also want to start with flea prevention as tape worm is transmitted by fleas.

Definitely not something that sounds remotely urgent. Continue to monitor for any associated gastrointestinal signs like vomiting or diarrhea, If you feel the white specks you see are worms, consider bringing a fecal sample into your vet or deworming at home with something over the counter and broad spectrum like Panacur. As long as Karter is acting normally, not exhibiting anything I have mentioned, and is not seeming to lose weight, continue to monitor the situation closely for any other symptoms.

Hello. Those are not worms in Chamille's poop, but she probably does have intestinal worms ( all puppies do ). You can deworm her with any over the counter wormer, just follow the directions carefully. Better yet, if you have not had her examined by your veterinarian, consider doing so.
