My cockapoo has diarrhea with white poppy seeds. Could it be worms?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 24 lbs

My 1 year old cockapoo has had diarrhoea for 3 days. If last night it had something that looked like little white poppy seeds in it and again this morning. Could this be worms? She's fine within herself but her stools aren't.

Yes these are likely to be tapeworms.
I would strongly suggest an immediate check up to confirm diagnosis and treat appropriately. Effective treatment on prescription will quickly resolve the problem.
