Is a calcium chew bone okay for my 3-month-old puppy to chew?

Too much calcium in large breed growing puppies is highly problematic. This can lead to serious bone defects and diseases processes including possible Hypertrophic Osteodrystrophy (HOD). I would highly recommend refraining from calcium milk bones at this frequency and perhaps only giving them 2-3 times a week, instead of everyday, just to ensure you aren't giving them in excess. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bone is SUPER cute!! I do not recommend calcium supplementation. Once Bone is 5-6 weeks old start feeding him a commercial puppy food, like Purina puppy chow. If you are bottle feeding him with a puppy formula you can start mixing that with puppy food now. All commercial puppy foods are nutritionally balance. Over supplementing calcium can cause harm. I hope this helps!

That looks like a rawhide type which is soft enough for puppies when supervised and removed before they become small enough to try and swallow. It is important to avoid over hard toys such as real bones, antlers, nylabone while he still has baby teeth

A balanced puppy food which has been specially formulated to be a complete diet should not be supplemented as this can lead to dietary excess, which can also be harmful to bone development. Check that the puppy food is suitable for the age and breed type and if you have concerns about bone and joint development I recommend a full physical by your vet to determine which, if any, supplementation is required

It's ok to do, but monitor closely to make sure he plays with it appropriately and doesn't eat it. It should be large enough that he's chewing on a rounded edge rather than a flat surface (which can break this teeth).

He is likely fine at this stage. Monitor him closely and if he starts gagging, choking, vomiting, not eating, coughing then get him to the vet right away. Please be very careful giving any chew bone treats of any kind to a 2 month old puppy. They are not recommended until they are adults.
