My puppy swallowed a chew bone that got stuck. Is he okay now?

It sounds like whatever Chewy had stuck in his throat has passed. Since he is acting normally, keep an eye on him for now. Should that behavior start again or he stops eating, take him into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

These seem like they would be pretty digestible, so I wouldn't be particularly concerned. If the chew was lodged in the esophagus I expect you would notice coughing, gagging or regurgitation. You should still monitor Marvin for those signs and for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea.

I would watch him for now and if he begins to develop symptoms such as vomiting, inappetance, lethargy, abdominal pain, etc. then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him. I would also recommend having abdominal x-rays performed to see where the bone is. I hope this helps! Hello, at his point, I would not be too concerned. Most times, the rawhide will continue to be digested. If Jack does not have much of an appetite tomorrow morning, just try feeding him a little later in the day. If, however, he starts vomiting, refuses all food, gulps water & vomits afterwards, or seems painful or bloated, then get him to your vet quickly. I have never liked giving any kind of rawhide to pets. Give him more appropriate items to chew such as Nylabones & Kong toys where you can hide food, & just about anything else that a dog can gnaw on without the possibility of breaking off & swallowing whole pieces. It should dissolve in his stomach but you should monitor for vomiting and diarrhea. If you notice anything abnormal then he should be examined by a vet for treatment. You could buy a Kong toy for him and stuff it with treats. He won't be able to swollow the Kong.

Given it was a small size, it should pass fine on it's own. I wouldn't take Bentley into the vet now. You can monitor him for signs of obstruction (vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, constipation), but he should be fine :-)

Pesci is a big dog so he may be ok. Keep a close eye on him. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his poop, a loss of appetite, or lethargy, then it's causing problems and he will need to see a vet. I'd monitor him for the next three days to be safe. I hope this helps!
