My puppy won't eat/drink, has bleeding gums. Is it a vet emergency?

I'm wondering if Brownie is spayed or not. If she isn't spayed, I would be very concerned that this bleeding could be due to a pyometra. A pyometra is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment, and is a medical emergency. Even if she is spayed, it's still a medical emergency when a dog is bleeding a lot. That is quite unheard of also disturbing that someone would laugh at your pets misfortune. I am not sure your pets breed or age, but you should call another emergency vet in the area and get him seen right away. In fact if they are open, I would not wait and just take him in to be seen. He either has a really bad case of stress related hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, a coagulation disorder, pancreatitis, or a toxin exposure as the cause of his symptoms. Yes, definitely take Winnie into a vet right away. Constant bleeding from the gums is not normal and not that easy to stop. It could be a bleeding disorder or a gum/teeth condition, it needs to be checked by a vet, if it's a tooth that is causing this, or something that is stuck in the gums, your dog will need to be put under sedation in order to solve this issue.

I'm sorry to hear Poe is not feeling well. I would recommend to take her into the emergency clinic. She's obviously not feeling well and they will be able to give her medications that should help her to feel better. They will also preform a thorough exam and likely recommend bloodwork and radiographs to look for the cause of the bleeding. Things that could cause the bleeding would be rectal masses, infected anal glands, poison, GI disease and neoplasia. The diagnostics will hopefully tell which one it is so you will know how to treat it. I hope Poe starts feeling better soon.
