My dog is sick, not eating, and bleeding from his bum. What to do?

I'm sorry to hear Poe is not feeling well. I would recommend to take her into the emergency clinic. She's obviously not feeling well and they will be able to give her medications that should help her to feel better. They will also preform a thorough exam and likely recommend bloodwork and radiographs to look for the cause of the bleeding. Things that could cause the bleeding would be rectal masses, infected anal glands, poison, GI disease and neoplasia. The diagnostics will hopefully tell which one it is so you will know how to treat it. I hope Poe starts feeling better soon.

Poor Butter! Since this has been going on for 2-3 days now and she is also vomiting and not wanting to eat much, I would recommend taking her to the ER today to be seen, rather than waiting until next week. The ER doctor can do some diagnostic testing to help figure out what's going on (possibly blood work, x-rays, and/or a fecal exam for parasites) and get her started on appropriate treatment depending on what is found. At the very least, it sounds like she needs to be started on some supportive care and symptomatic treatment (for nausea, diarrhea, etc.) since dogs can become dangerously sick if they have symptoms like this for multiple days that are not resolving on their own.

I'm not sure why you gave Buddy Benadryl. That's for allergic reactions in dogs, not vomiting and bloody diarrhea. He sounds very sick, and it's extremely serious he can't even keep down water. He has to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

It sounds as Choco is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet URGENTLY, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Poor guy. It sounds like you should go to another vet for a second opinion here. Something is definitely causing your pets inappetence and GI symptoms. Some things to consider as causes would be addison's disease and pancreatitis. I would recommend going back to the vet to have bloodwork analysis and a urinalysis to start. They may also want to do radiographs as well. In the meantime it is best to offer small portion meals of boiled plain chicken or lean ground turkey and white rice with some pedialyte (non-flavored) diluted 50:50 with water to help replace some of the electrolyte losses.
