Can I bathe my puppy on a rainy day? What's the best time for a bath?

8 weeks old is the minimum age to begin bathing a puppy. Use a pet approved shampoo for puppies sensitive skin. She can be bathed every 6-8 weeks. You can use plain, unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to spot clean her in between baths. If you bathe her at night, dry her thoroughly and keep her war to prevent chill. It is best to bath her early in the day so she has ample time to dry off and doesn't go to sleep damp.

Pavi can have a bath at any time and you should use a dog shampoo. Just make sure the water is a comfortable temperature, avoid getting water in her face, and dry her well and keep her warm after the bath.

Aw Snoopy is adorable! Yes you can bathe him but I would use something very gentle like a puppy shampoo. I do not recommend using a flea shampoo as these can sometimes be too strong for puppies. You can bathe him every 2-3 weeks unless he gets really muddy/stinky and needs a bath otherwise. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would not use shampoo or soap. Bathing her twice daily with soap will dry out her hair. If you want to keep her cool then just spray her down with water or provide a baby pool for her to lie in to keep cool. I wish you and Jacky the best!

Good question., you did the right thing. Percy will be fine as long as you dried him off and he didn't get chilled. If he's eating normally and moving around he will be fine. I like to clean them up to get rid of the dirt and odor so they are more comfortable and the skin doesn't develop problems from being so dirty and smelly. You definitely don't want to bath Tison too often because that can strip his skin of it's natural oils and dry it out. Typically it's not recommended to bath them more than once a month, but you can do more if he's very dirty. Brush out the dirt to avoid a bath, but he should not be bathed more than once a week. As for his coat appearing dull, that can be due to diet so make sure that he is fed a high quality puppy formulated food such as Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams. His coat appearance can also be due to intestinal worms, so make sure both puppies are up to date on their deworming treatments. I hope this helps!

I would recommend bathing him every 2-4 weeks as needed to prevent overdrying of the skin. An oatmeal based puppy shampoo is great to use. Then in between baths you can use puppy wipes which are found at your local pet store. This works wel to my overdry your pet but also keep him smelling fresh. : ) I hope this helps!
