Is Vaseline safe and effective for my dog's dry or cracked paws?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 7 years and 11 months old | 95 lbs

Someone told me their vet said it is okay to use vaseline on their dogs feet. That it heals them plus it is non toxic

Hello, thank you for your question about Dahlia.

Vaseline is non-toxic to dogs and can help moisturize their feet/paw pads. If Dahlia has cuts or has traumatized her paw pads I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian to ensure that they do not require more aggressive treatment with antibiotics.
