My puppy got into bleach water. What should I do immediately?

Hello. I’m so sorry to hear this! You need to get Kota to a veterinary emergency room ASAP. The ingestion of this quantity of bleach could be fatal. He will need supportive care to see him through this intoxication. Whatever you do, don’t make him throw up because bleach is caustic and can cause more trouble coming back up. Check her mouth for excessive reddening. if it looks evenly pink then there is likely no problem, especially since she drank some water. if you see a lot of reddening, spots, lesions, take her to a vet right away.

While there is not an antidote, there are medications that can help with the symptoms that are simply not over the counter. Hello. You should immediately wash your puppy to remove as much of the spray as possible. Use warm water and dish soap. Avoid getting soap in his eyes and water in his ears. Be sure to rinse him thoroughly and then towel dry and make sure he stays warm until he is fully dry. Oh that was naughty of Nymeria! Given that she didn't break the bottle, then she will likely be ok. Bleach is an irritant, and you can check her mouth to see if there are any sores or redness in her mouth. Rinse her mouth out with cold water, but if you don't see any redness or sores in her mouth, she likely didn't ingest any bleach and she should be fine :-)
