Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 25 lbs
My 14 year old boston terrier has been acting weird. He woke up from what looked like a bad dream (he was twitching in his sleep) and then when I put my hands in front of his face he acts like i'm about to hit him. He is even doing it when no ones near him. he twitches like a dog would if you tried to slap him in the face. What could be wrong?

This sounds quite strange. It is difficult to say what the problem could be without seeing him in person. I would try to video the episodes at night to help your vet with a diagnosis. He could be having mini-seizures or something similar. It could also be some type of muscle spasms. I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet may want to check blood work on him to ensure all of his electrolytes are okay. You could try Benadryl at night to see if this helps him sleep better. I hope this helps!
