Mastiff puppy looks like it's missing a nostril. Is this a disorder?

Gucci may have been born with an abnormal nostril or he could have had an injury early in life. Regardless, I’m not sure that it will be problematic but just a cosmetic difference. From the photo, that looks to me more like a pustule (focal little infection) than a congenital defect (something he was born with). I wonder if he may have gotten a mild injury from playing with the other pups. If it hasn't gone away by the time the pup is ready to go home with you, I would make sure the breeder has the pup evaluated by their vet prior to you picking it up, or make sure the contract includes a clause that the breeder is responsible for having the bump evaluated and addressed.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like a cowlick- or an area where the hair Stands up funny. It is not uncommon to see these on the bridge of the nose. It’s just something to add to his character but it is not a problem. Good luck and kisses to your new pup!

However, if you are concerned and/or if this area bothers your pet, I recommend having him evaluated by your veterinarian. Your vet can examine this area and determine if it is a normal variation in his skin, or if it could possibly be a mass. You can also monitor this area for ~1 week to see if it changes in size/shape or feel. I hope this is helpful!

As long as this area is not painful and is not bothering your dog, you can monitor her at home for the weekend. However, if the area is sore or is bothering your dog, you should take her to your local vets tomorrow.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am not sure I can fully see the area you are concerned about. If it is the area near the nose that has less hair or the 2 white/pink spots. I do not think anything about the picture is life threatening unless I am missing your concerns. Hair loss on the muzzle can be from trauma or repeated digging/rubbing with his nose, ring worm (fungal) or demodex (non-contagious mite). If the area doesn't improve or it spreads then I would have your Vet check him out. If he is rubbing his nose to bury things then prevent him from doing so. I wouldn't recommend putting anything topical on the nose because he will likely just lick it off. I hope this helps and please repost with clarification if needed.

What a cute puppy! My suspicion is that the color changes are due to what is called a "merle" gene in this puppy, which can cause color dilution- or white patches on the fur and nose. In most cases it is not a concern but it has been associated with congenital deafness in some dogs. The deafness usually is apparent by a few weeks of age. You can ask the breeder for an examination by a vet to ensure that isn't an issue with this puppy before purchasing her.
