Does my 8-week-old puppy look like a purebred Siberian Husky?

He is beautiful. If I had to guess, I'd say a husky/Keeshond or Norwegian Elkhound cross. Those beautiful blue eyes come from the husky, and that black mask with the grey, black tipped coat reminds me of the Keeshond or elkhound.

Your puppy does look like it could be a chihuahua, but it's absolutely impossible for me to say if it is purebred or not just by looking at a picture. Since it is so young and I can't really look at its feet for size reference, it is a little difficult to distinguish Ghost from a from different breeds. These include Husky, Samoyed, Alaskan Malamute, American Eskimo, or any mix of the breeds. Hope this helps clear up anything you were wondering around. If you really want to be sure, you can do a DNA test on your through one of several different companies. This will give you precise genetic information on Ghost.

I would think he could have white German Shepherd or Spitz if his tail curls. Sadly we may never know and everyone likely has a different opinion! I hope this helps!

There is some variation in the fur of huskies, and it also possible that the long fur you are seeing could still be Apollo's "puppy coat". However, it is also possible that he may be part malamute as these dogs are usually larger and have a different fur than huskies. If you are interested in knowing exactly what breed Apollo is. There is a canine DNA test, the wisdom panel, that can be performed to get more information. This test is performed by getting a swab from inside the dogs mouth. Based on the black and white markings and the length of the coat, I would say your puppy looks most like a border collie. As they get older, the characteristics of the specific breed can become more apparent. What a cutie!
