Is my dog a Siberian Husky? What are the defining characteristics?

Personally I think is a Malamut-Husky mix but i would not be able to confirm it 100% unfortunately from the pictures you showed. Any idea of the mother and the father? This is not a husky puppy, however this could be a Samoyed puppy of Samoyed cross. I am afraid that whoever sold you the puppy either lied to you or did not breed this pup himself. I am assuming you did not get pedigree papers with this puppy.

Beautiful Sharon! The head shape, nose and ears are definitively German Shepard but the tip of the nose should be black in all colors. He is beautiful. If I had to guess, I'd say a husky/Keeshond or Norwegian Elkhound cross. Those beautiful blue eyes come from the husky, and that black mask with the grey, black tipped coat reminds me of the Keeshond or elkhound.

Hello, and thank you for using PetCoach. In my opinion, Sharon looks like an Alaskan Malamute - she is a bit larger and has longer fur than the typical Siberian Husky. If you want more concrete scientific information, the best (and only) way to determine breed is with genetic testing, such as the Wisdom Panel. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sharon is beautiful! I agree he looks like mostly husky but not pure bred. I would think he could have white German Shepherd or Spitz if his tail curls. Sadly we may never know and everyone likely has a different opinion! I hope this helps!

Its a little hard to gauge, as theres not a great deal of size reference here. Typically, huskys are a bit smaller and more "lean." It may help if you let us know her weight and age; under her pets info there is no age but it says she's 30 pounds, not sure thats accurate.
