She may have eaten something that didn't agree with her, or she may have gotten a bacterial infection of her gut causing the inflammation. I would feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice and see if that clears it up. There are still many diseases that could cause blood in the stool that haven’t been completely ruled out. The next steps might be an abdominal ultrasound to evaluate the colon and even endoscopy tonlook for polyps in the rectum or colon and obtain biopsies to rule out inflammatory bowel disease. It’s also possible that Madeleine has not had enough time to respond to the hypoallergenic diet trial. I would recheck with your vet and ask about referral to an internal medicine specialist if you want to discuss more in depth testing.

Harleigh could have worms even though you don't see any in her feces, and that would cause blood in her feces. I would take her into the vet with a sample of her feces. The vet can examine her feces under a microscope for signs of eggs from intestinal parasites, and can prescribe her a deworming treatment.

It sounds as Albert is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Black, liquid stools are called melena and are not a good sign. This occurs due to the presence of digested blood in the feces. This is considered a medical emergency. He may be having an issue with his blood clotting. He may have a bleeding stomach ulcer. Do you think it is possible that he got into some type of toxin/poison? Many poisons will cause internal bleeding. Toxicity could explain the vomiting blood/froth and the black stools. 2. Passing semen with blood could indicate that there is problem with his prostate or it may indicate he is having a problem with his blood clotting (as above). I think you really need to take Yoda back to your vet to get more of a work up. Was any blood testing done? X-rays? I am glad the vomiting is under control I but I worry about the other symptoms you mentioned. Please understand it is difficult to comment with limited information. This can be from a mass in the rectum, irritation from pushing out hard stool, or she may have an anal infection causing the bleeding. If this continues I recommend a veterinary exam. They will check the anal sacs and palpate inside the rectum for a mass. Make sure the stool isn’t too firm. Adding fiber to the diet will bulk up the stool and make it easier to pass. Blood in the poop can be from intestinal parasites, polpys or a mass, irritation of the intestines from eating bones, intestinal inflammation or from infected anal sacs. With one episode I’m not overly concerned about it as long as your dog is acting normal. If it continues I recommend a fecal test, have the anal sacs expressed, and palpate for a mass in the rectum.
