Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Alex is adorable! Congratulations!

I would choose a high quality commercial puppy food. I like Hill's science diet, Royal Canin and Purina. Since Alex is a small breed I would choose a dry and a canned to mix until he is about 4 months then change to all dry. I would also feed him small frequent meals, maybe about 3-4 times per day until he is 14-16 weeks. Toy breed puppies can suffer from low blood sugar.
