Usually at this age some of them are still nursing on their mother, you need to ask the person you got him from if he is weaned or not. He can also have wet puppy food and even dry puppy food (you might need to soak it in warm water for a few minutes).

If he is all the way weaned, feed him a high quality puppy food for small breeds. If you choose a dry food, you may need to moisten it with a little water, especially if he is having any trouble with eating hard food. You could also add some moist food, as well. There are may different brands on the market and you can go to a local pet store see what is offered. Science diet, Blue Buffalo, Orijen, Wellness, Royal Canin, Nutro, Purina Pro Plan are some examples of foods. It would be best to find out what he was eating and gradually switch him to a new food as abrupt diet change can cause gastrointestinal issues.
