Hello. That is a lot of milk replacer to be using! Fortunately, you can completely stop using it as the puppies do not need it anymore. I would probably do only 1 milk feed a day for 2 days then 1 milk feed every other day for 2 additional feedings & then stop. Usually at this age some of them are still nursing on their mother, you need to ask the person you got him from if he is weaned or not. He can also have wet puppy food and even dry puppy food (you might need to soak it in warm water for a few minutes).

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Rio is super cute, congrats! I recommend Hill's, Royal Canin, Purina or Iams. I would call your local Petco to see what they offer. Here is what needs to happen: bring a stool sample and any records you were given to your first Vet visit, Rio will get his next DHPP vaccine 3-4 weeks after his first one was given by the breeder. If the breeder did not start his vaccines he needs to start them by 7-8 weeks of age. Petco will start them for you and tell you when you need to return. They get about 3-4 DHPP vaccines 3-4 weeks apart. The Rabies vaccine is given around 4 months of age, depending on the laws in your county. I hope this helps and I wish you and Rio the best!

I know you want to wait but it sounds as though he might not be getting enough nutrition and doesn’t want a bottle which indicates he is weaned. I would get canned puppy food and mix the puppy formula in to it. Feed small frequent meals, 3-4 times per day. I like Purina Proplan, Royal Canin, Iams, and Hill’s Science diet. Good luck
