Why does my dog get zoomies indoors? Is this normal dog behavior?

They happen more often in puppies and young adults but can happen at any age. Even though Chewy may seem like he is suddenly possessed, it’s a good outlet of energy and good exercise. It sounds like Queen is having some playtime ! It is absolutely normal given her age, as she grows older she will not be doing it so much. It is normal for dogs to play but if they are overexcitable most of the time they need training to help them learn to be calm too.

It sounds like Kingston may be getting a case of the "puppy zoomines" which can happen when a dog is very excited. They may whine, pin their ears back, and run around the house or in a circle very excitedly when doing so. If this behavior is emerging and he's otherwise acting healthy and normal, it could just be he is becoming more comfortable in your home (and why he doesn't do it elsewhere is because he isn't comfortable there yet). Spending some more time playing together to get out that excess energy, and signing up for a puppy kindergarten class together once he is old enough is a good start. As with any new puppy, it is always good to set up a new-puppy wellness exam with your vet to get him initially examined, a vaccination schedule started, and have him start off on the right paw.

She may just be doing that to get her energy out. Not all cats like to go outside. I would recommend if you are concerned having your veterinarian take another look at her, but without any other symptoms, this does not seem abnormal. Sounds like Archie has a case of the puppy zoomies! Being mouthy, jumping, and having periods of just "running around like a maniac" are all very common for puppies. Looking into basic obedience about how to stop jumping up behavior and biting/chewing can help start Archie off on the right foot. As puppies explore the world with their mouths much like toddlers do, there are a few things you can do to help turn this into a more positive behavior. The first is to yelp "ouch!" any time Archie gets a little too nibbly, and get up and walk away. He'll quickly learn that what he is doing hurts and doesn't get him any attention. You can also reward him by giving him lots of praise when you spot him chewing on an appropriate toy. If you catch him chewing something he shouldn't, replace it with the correct toy instead and give him praise if he continues to chew on it. Looking into a basic puppy kindergarten can also help get both of you used to each other and establish some "house rules" in addition to learning the fun stuff like sit and stay.

It sounds like Phoenix is an energetic puppy! Some puppies are more playful and energetic than others. Chasing and running around with other dogs should be fine for him, we don't recommend taking your dog on a run with you until they are full grown, but play running is fine. I would recommend working on training him to come when called in case you do need to catch him though.
