My puppy recovered from Parvo. Are warm nose and ears normal?

The normal temperature in a dog is around 101.5 degrees. Since humans are normally 98.6 degrees, dogs often feel a little warm to us when you feel their ears or stomachs. So, the ear temperature you are feeling may just be normal for Snowball. And as you mentioned, their ears will also feel slightly warmer when they have been running around. However, if you notice that her sneezing continues or gets worse or she develops any other clinical signs, I would consult your veterinarian. I hope that was helpful. Poor Cody! The dry nose is likely a result of being through so much, he has likely been very dehydrated and I suppose the nose has been the least of the body's concern. You could apply an unscented moisturiser such as aqeous cream to the nose, rub it in well a few times a day and ir should help return the moisture. If the nose gets so dry that it cracks visit your vet.

To know if Biggie has a fever you need to take his temperature rectally with a digital thermometer. A fever in a dog is anything over 102.5 F. There are many causes for a poor appetite: Viral infection, foreign body, fever from infection or inflammation, intestinal parasites (the eggs are microscopic and can not be seen in the stool unless adult worms are passed), pain and many many other causes. Try taking Biggie's temperature. If he has a fever I recommend making an appointment today with your Vet. I hope this helps and I wish Biggie a speedy recovery!

This isn't typical to see after a parvoviral infection, so it is possible that he has developed an unrelated upper respiratory infection. Another possibility could be that he regurgitated at some point and now has sinusitis. Regardless I would recommend seeing your vet so they can help determine the cause. Depending on the type of antibiotics he has been taking he may or may not need additional antibiotics.

I'm glad your girl is feeling better. :) If she has recovered and is now eating and drinking normally, acting good, and no longer vomiting, then she should not need any special care from here on out - she can go back to normal life. There should be no concern with using the fan or air conditioner, bathing her, or letting her sleep on the floor. She can be vaccinated as normal now that she's no longer sick. And yes, it's fine for her to go outside and resume her normal daily walk routine.
