Yes, 2 weeks should be sufficient time for the surgery site to heal. You can also bathe Snowball now if you want. Just keep an eye on the incision to make sure it continues to heal well. Let her increase her activity level slowly over the next few days and she should do great.

While I typically do recommend avoiding stairs, when it is not possible I have people use a leash on stairs to make sure the dog goes slow and does not cause too much stress on the incision. Double check with your vet to make sure that will be okay.

Spaying dogs is the best option to help prevent certain conditions such as pyometra and reduce the possibility of mammary tumors. Usually dogs recover very quickly after surgery and she is expected to be fine after surgery. It may take her a few days to be back to normal but that would be the expectation. I would take Nyla into a vet immediately. Dogs should be on strict exercise restriction after getting spayed, and she should not have gone a long walk so soon after this surgery. Exercise increases the risk of post-operative complications, and should be strictly avoided. I would be very concerned that this walk may have created a post-operative complication, and she does need to see a vet now. Please take her into the vet who spayed her, or if that vet is closed, have her seen at an ER vet clinic or find a vet on call to see her now.

Poor Bella! I am assuming she is not walking because she is in pain. All dogs react differently after being spayed and some have a higher tolerance to pain. I am not sure if she was given any pain medications but you should call your vet and let him/her know that she seems painful. Your vet should be able to add or adjust her medications to help relieve the pain. Hopefully, she will be feeling better in a few days.

She went through major abdominal surgery. Her incision appears to be healing well from your pictures. I hope this information helps!
