Why did my chihuahua vomit yellow liquid with hair? Is it serious?

That does not look like a normal intestinal worm. Intestinal worms are white or light yellow. I suspect this is something he ate. Wrap it up in a baggie and take it to be examined by your veterinarian. To be safe, have the store checked for worms since some rooms can be spread to humans. Lola may have been eating grass as well if she had an upset stomach, and that could cause the color of the vomit. Keep an eye on her for now, and if she vomits again, have her seen by a vet. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Chewy evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

I recommend that you have Mishu evaluated by a veterinarian to work the vomiting as this may be due to worms for instance, or something else like a gastrointestinal foreign body, among other possibilities. There may also be a systemic cause or infection. I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at her and run some tests such as bloodwork and abdominal x-rays. This is not specific to any disease, but indicates that something is either directly upsetting their stomachs, or generally making them feel nauseous. The yellow color is due to bile staining which doesn't tell much other than they are vomiting on an empty stomach. One possibility is that they ate something they were not supposed to like medication, a chemical (i.e. antifreeze), raw meat, or a plant (i.e. lilies). Vomiting is often the first signs of an exposure to a toxin, so I recommend checking if it's possible for them to have eaten anything other than their normal diet. Vomiting and nausea can also be due to an infectious disease, organ failure, or imbalance in the blood. In order to narrow down the possibilities, you would have to take them to the vet for an evaluation. This doesn't appear to be an emergency, but if they are acting very depressed and is vomiting continuously, then it would be best to take them to the vet sooner rather than later. If they are otherwise acting normal, then it's important to not give any food for the next eight hours, but make sure they have plenty of clean water available. If they are not vomiting in eight hours, then only feed a small amount of food (about 1Tbsp.). If they keep that down, then you can feed a little more in two hours. If the vomiting is continuing tomorrow, then it's best to take them to the vet for an evaluation. Without touching it myself and opening it I can only speculate: Chicken skin/cartilage, parasite, rubber foreign material. I would put it in a baggie and see if your Vet can identify it in person. Consider bringing a stool sample as well to check for gastro-intestinal parasites. If your dog continues to vomit, is lethargic or stops eating I would have him/her seen right away in case there is more of this material that is causing stomach irritation or an obstruction.
