My dog threw up a firm, squishy, fat-like object. What is it?

Hello. It looks like something or someone vomited up a combination of emesis & something very fibrous. It is probably indigestible , hence the reason it was vomited up in the first place. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The vomit looks like foreign material like hay or some sort of basket or string material. I would look around the house or outside and see what she is getting in to. It doesn't look like round worms to me. She is eating something she shouldn't be. I advise locating where she is getting it and removing it before it causes a blockage. Have a great day

Lola may have been eating grass as well if she had an upset stomach, and that could cause the color of the vomit. Keep an eye on her for now, and if she vomits again, have her seen by a vet. Difficult to know exactly what this material is, but if there is the doubt of a foreign body ingestion a clinical examination at your local veterinarian would be immediately essential to rule it out and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed. Not sure but this could be due to an undigested vegetable material. They do not look like parasites and I would recommend not to worry unless you notice any other sign like vomiting, persistency of that material, diarrhoea, inappetence or lethargy. I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. If you still notice that material inside after a week of dietary change, a fecal analysis would be ideal to identify the nature of it. If Odin vomited up foreign material and is continuing to vomit, I would strongly suggest getting him in to be seen by a veterinarian sooner rather than later. This looks like some kind of foreign material to me - it looks like it could be rubber. It does not look like any kind of parasite to me. If Duker is continuing to vomit (I’m assuming this is from vomit) I would recommend seeing a veterinarian. They might want to do some x-rays to make sure there is not evidence of an obstruction.
