Is it normal for my dog to throw up yellow fluid after worming?

Hello! Sounds like Gus vomitted up some bile. As long as this was the only instance of vomit and he otherwise appears to be acting like himself, I would not worry. It's unlikely that the vomit is related to the vaccines as vaccine reactions typically happen immediately or within a couple of hours after administration of the vaccine. Continue to keep an eye on him for any other episodes of vomiting or changes in his behavior. Hopefully this was a one time event and won't cause Gus or you to miss a beat! Hope this helps.

You should keep a close eye on him to ensure he doesn’t vomit again. If Bear continues to vomit, develops diarrhea or is not acting quite like himself, he should be seen by his vet as he may require medication and supportive care. In the meantime, I would hold off on giving Bear any food for about 12 hours and then reintroduce his normal diet slowly (about 1/2 his normal serving) I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you may have!

That does not appear to be a normal color for vomit. Vomit is usually yellow-ish, the color of the food or brownish. That makes me worried that Bear got into something causing that abnormal discoloration. The smell could be related to whatever it was he ate or indicate that the gut is not moving. I recommend to get Bearr examined today and try to take in a sample of the vomit if possible. Especially with young puppies, it’s always better to be safe. If he continues to vomit or have accidents though, he will need to see his veterinarian. He likely had the accidents as he was not feeling well earlier this morning. Be sure to offer plenty of water, but if he is otherwise healthy, I would withhold food for about 12 hours. This will rest his GI tract and help to prevent any further vomiting. I'm glad to hear that Angel seems fine now. Vomiting once is not usually a huge cause for concern. At this point, I would skip her next meal to allow her stomach some time to settle. If she vomits more frequently, becomes lethargic, or also develops diarrhea, a trip to the vet will likely be in order. I hope that all goes well!

Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Chewy evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

Poor Bear! If he's already had some medication for vomiting at the vet's and you've tried switching back to his old food and he's still vomiting today, then I would definitely take him back in for a recheck visit. It sounds like he'll probably need some diagnostics such as blood work and x-rays to help determine what's wrong.
