My dog vomited yellow liquid and food once. Should I be concerned?

If he's only vomited once and seems to be returning to normal, I would just keep an eye on him. You can pick up his food and offer a bland meal of boiled rice and chicken to help settle any minor GI upset. If he doesn't return fully to normal after another day or so, or if his symptoms return or worsen, having a vet take a look in person is best.

If your pet has vomited this much in the past 45 minutes I would be very suspicious of a foreign body or a very intense dietary indiscretion (eating something he shouldn't have). If a pet is vomiting, it is best to withhold all food and medicine for at least 12 hours. Afterwards, a bland diet can be offered in small, frequent amounts. It is never recommended to give human medications to your pet without the advice of your veterinarian. Some medications can be toxic or may complicate any underlying condition. If she can keep the water down, continue with small frequent amounts. No more than a couple tablespoons (20-30 mls) at a time. Have her examined by your veterinarian in the morning. The foods she ate can certainly cause vomiting, but it is best to have serious illness or foreign body ruled out by the vet.

If she only vomited one time and seems perfectly fine then I don't think there is a cause for concern. If the vomiting continues, she has a decreased appetite, or is lethargic then she should be examined by a vet for treatment.

I am sorry to hear about Sam. Repeated vomiting is not normal, and I would be concerned there is something else going on here. If Sam is a dog who gets into trash or has a sensitive stomach he may just have a case of gastritis from this, and a period of fasting and reintroduction with a bland diet may help. Hello! Sounds like Gus vomitted up some bile. As long as this was the only instance of vomit and he otherwise appears to be acting like himself, I would not worry. It's unlikely that the vomit is related to the vaccines as vaccine reactions typically happen immediately or within a couple of hours after administration of the vaccine.
