My dog's been vomiting 6 days, has head tremors. Should I see a vet?

I'm sorry little Maximus isn't doing well! It could be that he overfed leading him to vomit, and I would keep an eye on him for now. If he starts vomiting again, starts eating less, and/or become very lethargic, I would take him into a vet immediately. Make sure he stays warm, well hydrated, and eats.

I hate to hear that Pantufla is not feeling well! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet who is vomiting more than twice in a day or not holding down water also needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I am concerned that the shaking you are seeing indicates abdominal pain which is very worrisome for an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis. I recommend to have Pantufla examined today. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Bambi evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mister. He will need to see an emergency veterinarian if his symptoms have persisted. If he is feeling better, I would recommend that he sees his normal veterinarian tomorrow. He may have experienced a seizure while you were out. He also could have had low blood sugar or been exposed to a toxin of some form. I hope this information helps.

Poor guy. I would be cautious here and take him in to your local vet right away if this has been going on for more than 30 mins-1 hr or if he is lethargic. A number of things could be going on here such as a toxin ingestion, severe stomach upset episodes or an underlying disease such as Addison's disease. Check his gum color immediately and if you notice pale gums then he should be seen right away as well. I do hope that this is just a stomach upset and that he starts to improve over the next hour. If he does seem to calm down, then you should definitely fast him for the next 12 hrs (water only), then you should feed him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken or lean ground turkey and white rice for the next few days to help settle his stomach. Oh my. These symptoms are highly suggestive of canine distemper virus infection or even an underlying liver shunt. Please have Maxi seen by your local vet for testing as soon as possible to help him stablize his condition. This cannot be treated for at home. I do hope that Maxi is going to be ok moving forward.
