Could my dog's vomiting and diarrhea be a blockage from weeks ago?

Bland foods like: scrambled eggs, plain rice, plain pasta, boiled chicken or turkey, human baby foods (meat flavors). No butter, oil or spices on the food. If all if going well do this for a few days and then slowly transition him back to his regular food. 4. Continue the Proviable as directed. If he starts vomiting at any time he needs to see the vet ASAP. Otherwise, try this and see how he responds. Hope this helps. Yes, partial obstructions can cause irriation of the bowel and allow small volumes of liquid stool to pass by. I recommend a check up and abdominal x-ray or ultrasound in order to rule out any remaining foreign bodies and inflammation/distension of the bowel

If the vomiting continues than he could have a blockage. If he is otherwise acting ok than you could withhold food for the day and then try a bland diet of boil chicken and white rice. If the vomiting resolves, continue feeding the bland diet for a few days and then gradually switch back to his regular food. If the vomiting and diarrhea continues then he needs to be examined by a veterinarian to determine the cause. Your veterinarian can take an x-ray to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat his problem.

Poor Sammi! She does sound like she isn't feeling well at all, and it is possible that she could have a partial blockage if she got into some nuts especially if they had shells on them. Other causes include eating something rotten or a GI illness. Given she has been so sick for a couple of days now, I would see if you can get her into your vet tomorrow instead of Saturday. I would also withhold food for the next 24 hours, and then try a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day.
