My dog threw up blood specks after an empty stomach. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 6.5 lbs

I have a 1 and a half yr old, 6.9lb Shorkie dog. When I went to work today he didn't eat- he doesn't always eat when I'm gone. So he had an empty stomach- when I came home (2 hours later than usual) we went for a walk and he threw up a small amount and there were a few small specks of blood in it. He peed and pooped and ate his food when we came back in. Should I be concerned about the blood in his throw up?

If it was the one episode of vomiting and he is otherwise acting normally then I would be concerned but not panicked. I would watch him for the next 24 hours to see what happens. If there is more vomiting or bloody diarrhea then i would get him checked right away. It may be from having an empty stomach or eating something he was. It suppose to
