Why is my dog vomiting yellow liquid and water but still active?

  There are many reasons why a dog may vomit. If he's eaten anything different than normal (new food or treats) or gotten into the garbage, this can upset his stomach and cause vomiting. If he is kind of dog that chews on toys, sticks, rocks, bones, etc. and swallows them, he could have a blockage in his stomach or intestines. There are also diseases like parvo that can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. If none of these have happened, he has been fully vaccinated, and he is still acting happy, you could start by fasting him overnight (no food or water by mouth). If he doesn't vomit overnight, you could introduce a small amount of water and his regular food in the morning. If he continues to vomit overnight or he develops other symptoms such as diarrhea, lethargy or poor appetite, I would strongly recommend taking him to a veterinarian. They may need to do blood work and abdominal x-rays to see why he could be vomiting.

  Poor Chloe! It is concerning that she is vomiting and very lethargic. Her symptoms could be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis to name a few causes. If she only vomited once, I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or the lethargy continues, she will need to see a vet right away.   It's very concerning that Precious is throwing up continuously, and she could have eaten something rotten or toxic, has a foreign body, a severe GI illness, or pancreatitis to name some causes. Whenever a dog is throwing up continuously, home remedies are never recommended. Instead, it's time to take her straight to the vet. They can give her a shot to stop the vomiting, and can diagnose as well as treat the cause. Please take her into a vet now. Best of luck.

  Hello, while this is not normal, it is not overly alarming. It is possible that Rocky is finding something in his environment that he eats & then vomits it up. As long as Rocky eats well, is showing no signs of weight loss, weakness, bad breath, & has normal eliminations, then I would not be overly concerned. But please make sure you mention this to your veterinarian at his next scheduled visit, or if the episodes become more frequent, have him seen as soon as possible.
