My dog vomited grass/nylon, has dark stools, but is eating. What now?

It is a good sign that Panda is eating and keep down food even though it's small amounts, but it sounds like to me you are very concerned about him. It can take at least 24-48 hours to see some improvement in symptoms, and it can take a while for him to go back to eating normally. That being said, eating grass can be a sign of nausea, and if he's eating a lot, he may still be quite nauseous. I think that since you feel he hasn't improved and I can't see him in person, it's a logical next step to go back to the vet for further testing.

I'm glad to hear that Panda is doing better! It could be that the things he ate caused inflammation of his intestines and vomiting, and also made his nauseous leading him to eat grass. I would continue to give him the prednisone as prescribed, and contact your vet with any questions and concerns. I hope he continues to improve :-)

I am sorry to hear about Eclaire (adorable name!). It is possible this could be a result of nausea. Since she has also had changes to her stool, I would consider having a veterinarian examine her. Dark tarry colored stools can be a sign of blood in the digestive tract and we want to be sure that she doesn't have an ulcer or something else causing these symptoms. It sounds as Chloe is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I'm not sure what Panda is on antibiotics for, but I'm going to assume it was for issues with pooping. If they aren't improving things yet, it's time to ring the vet again and discuss other possible causes of these issues, including intestinal parasites and food intolerance.

I'm sorry to hear of your trouble with Alex. I am quite concerned that he is vomiting brown material. I would recommend that you have Alex seen by your veterinarian again. They may recommend bloodwork and xrays to determine what is causing his symptoms.
