Why is my dog throwing up for 2 days but otherwise acting normal?

Poor Cally! The vomiting could be due to many conditions including eating something she shouldn't have, bacterial over growth, parasites (worms and giardia) or even something more severe like organ dysfunction or intestinal blockage. Pets who vomit beyond 24 hours need to be examined and I recommend to have Cally examined by the veterinarian today. Try to remember to take in a stool sample. The doctor will check her for parasites and bacterial. Other diagnostics may be recommended as well. Many times a bland diet can help and then a slow, gradual introduction to the normal food can be done. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. Hi. It isn't normal for going on that long. I'd get him checked out just to make sure he's ok, and I would recommend bloodwork, x-rays and a fecal. It is good news that he is still eating and drinking. Pets can get different bacterial and viral infections, yes, that can affect different systems.

It sounds as Kehlani is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Dogs can vomit due to many conditions from stress, to ingestion of a foreign body or toxin, eating too quickly, intestinal parasites, or viral infections. If Onyx is acting normally, you can continue to monitor her at home. I recommend holding off food and treats until tomorrow morning, and then giving her only about 1/2 of her normal portion. She should have access to small amounts of water to prevent her from drinking too quickly and causing herself to vomit. She should be seen by a vet as soon as possible if you notice that she doesn't have an appetite or energy, or begins having diarrhea. I hope this helps and that Onyx feels better soon!

I hate to hear that Pantufla is not feeling well! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet who is vomiting more than twice in a day or not holding down water also needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I am concerned that the shaking you are seeing indicates abdominal pain which is very worrisome for an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis. I recommend to have Pantufla examined today. 4 days is very long for a dog to have vomiting and diarrhea. I recommend that Alexa see a vet as soon as possible. Potential causes for her illness include dietary intolerance, dietary indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, IBD, pancreatitis, among others. Your vet may recommend abdominal x-rays, bloodwork, or an intestinal parasite screen to help diagnose her ailment and create an appropriate treatment plan.

Vomiting can be caused by intestinal parasites, intestinal blockage, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, parvovirus if not fully vaccinated, among other things. Because you've given Nacho a bland diet for a day and he is still vomiting, I recommend you get him in to your veterinarian when they are open. The vet will be able to perform bloodwork and X-rays and figure out why Nacho is vomiting.
