My dog swallowed something by mistake. Is it toxic? Will he be fine?

Some dogs are more sensitive to it than others, and can get mild GI upset. However, most likely your dog will be just fine. Let your vet know if you see any vomiting, diarrhea, or decreased appetite. Thank you for providing the information that the ink is non-toxic! If he only ate a little of it and it's non-toxic, Archie should be fine. You may see some GI upset in the form of vomiting or diarrhea, and if you do, you can try a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. I hope this helps!

Cereal and milk is generally not toxic but can cause stomach upset because it's unusual food. Check the ingredients for xylitol (which is toxic and Chewy should see the veterinarian quickly if this is present). Chewy may not have any illness but you could feed him a bland diet to counteract any bad effects if you like. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. I do not see any need to worry at this time. If it was stuck in his throat, then he would be continually gagging and coughing. There is also not much of a chance it would be causing problems in the stomach or intestines, because these are digestible. Signs of a blockage are: not eating, not pooping, vomiting, and acting very depressed/painful. If you happen to see these signs, then this would warrant an urgent trip to the vet. Otherwise, he seems to be doing OK, so I wouldn't be concerned. I hope that helps and all is well with Coby.

Corn syrup is not considered toxic to dogs, so it's unlikely that you will see any significant problems related to this. If it was a large amount, it's possible that Sushi may have a mild upset stomach - but otherwise, should be fine.

He should be fine. You may see some vomiting, diarrhea and/or lethargy. He would need to ingest 8 of the pills for there to be a risk of toxicity. If necessary, withhold food for 24 hours, allowing small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until any symptoms of GI upset resolve. Transition slowly to his regular diet afterwards. If symptoms persist or worsen, have him examined by your veterinarian.
