My dog swallowed a large plastic chip. Will it pass or is it serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 2 years and 5 months old | 90 lbs

My dog swallowed a large bingo chip a little bigger than the size of a quarter plastic like a bingo chip but bigger. Will this pass through his digestive system and come out in his feces. What should we do

If it was ingested within the past hour, you can take him to the ER and have them induce vomiting to see if they can get it back out.
That size has a good chance of getting stuck somewhere along the intestinal tract but could potentially pass.
Signs of a blockage are vomiting, lack of appetite, belly pain, and/or lethargy.
