My dog swallowed a large plastic chip. Will it pass or is it serious?

Hi, if the wrapper has been thorn into pieces it will probably pass through his gastro intestinal tract together with other food. If it was a large piece swollowed as whole, there is the risk of obstruction and you need to monitor him closely for any vomiting or diarrhoea or straining to go to the toilet or abdominal pain. If you can barely tell if pieces of the bag are missing then I am sure she will be fine. Watch for vomit, lethargy, not eating and belly pain as signs of a blockage. I wish Zoey the best!

Since those pieces are small, it is safe to monitor for any GI signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, lethargy or a decreased appetite. There is a good change that can pass through and you will never notice a problem over the next 24-48 hours!

Dogs will eat the dumbest things sometimes! If he's eaten only little pieces of it, likely they will pass without problem. Little bits of things typically pass in the feces within a couple of days, and sometimes even big things will pass. Should you want to be 100% safe, yes you can take Charlie into the ER vet to have vomiting induced, which would guarantee no problems will occur. If you see any of these symptoms in the next 24-48hrs, you should take Rayne to your local vets as an emergency. However, if she chewed the plastic into small pieces, most likely she will pass it with her stools and she will not show any worrying symptoms at all.

It's hard to say if it will pass safely or not. Round objects could cause issues. If it was recent, I would recommend taking Maci in to an emergency vet to safely attempt to induce vomiting. If it comes up, no worries!
