What if my dog swallowed a cooked bone and can't throw it up?

Your dog still may vomit the bone or some of the bone fragments and she will probably have an upset stomach for a day or so. She will probably also develop diarrhea or soft stools because of ingesting the bones. Keep a close eye on her and if the vomiting lasts more than 24 hours or she starts having bloody stools, you will need to take her to the veterinarian. If you have an emergency vet available in your area, I would strongly recommend getting him seen right away. Keep him warm, keep him hydrated by offering low sodium chicken broth, ice cubes to lick and get him seen the second you can. And make sure to submit the vet bill to whoever fed him bones and people food. It may not do any good, but it may make them more aware of the consequences of feeding pets something they shouldn't have.

I am very sorry to hear about Tomy. If he truly has bones stuck in his throat this is a medical emergency and he needs to go to the vet immediately. They can sedate him and try to manually remove the bones, which requires a delicate hand as damage to the esophagus can be very dangerous. Sometimes dogs can also have vomiting or retching when something like a bone is in the stomach, which also needs veterinary attention.

He could indeed have something stuck in his throat I strongly recommend getting him in to see your vet immediately. It sounds like he's trying to move whatever is stuck and not having much success. He needs to be seen before he hurts himself.

If Zoey was able to swallow the food and water, I don't think the pork chop bone would be stuck in her throat. It could be upsetting her stomach. Keep a close eye on her, and if she is still acting this way in the morning, have her seen by a vet. Take her into a vet immediately if she starts vomiting, there is blood in her vomit, blood in her feces, she has diarrhea, stops eating, or becomes lethargic. I hope this helps!

Withhold food for 12 hours then offer Luna boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues vomiting or is not eating, take her to the vet to get treatment.

It sounds like she likely has some damage to her throat/esophagus from the bone. This sounds minor and will likely heal quickly, but I would have to examine her to know for sure. For now, it's fine to wait and feed soft food for the next couple of days. You can soften dry food by just adding a little water and waiting a couple of minutes.
