Why is my healthy 7-month-old dog suddenly hiding and acting strange?

I'm sorry that Lola is acting this way. Get her in to the vet so that they can do an exam and lab work on her. Its possible that there has been a change in her health that is making her want to hide. Sometimes if dogs are painful or nauseated, they will seek to hide. If she gets a clean bill of health at the vet, contact as your vet to recommend a good trainer. A trainer can probably help you specifically address Lola's behaviors. In the meantime, just be sure that every interaction at home is rewarded; keep treats out and treat her and praise her whenever she is not in the closet. I recommend keeping a close eye on him over the next 24 hours and having him seen by a vet if these symptoms continue. If she’s eating/drinking, pooping normally and does not seem to be limping or painful when touched around her legs or belly….it is most likely stress. Possibly there was a super loud noise/siren/crash etc. that scared her. If Louie is otherwise acting normally (normal appearance regarding appetite, thirst, peeing, stools, walking, playing, and sleeping), it sounds like either a noise or a smell has his attention and may be activating his instinctive response to be alerted and cautious. Mice or other pests are common culprits as dogs can often smell or hear them through openings such as electrical outlets or light fixtures in walls. Strange behavior can also indicate early onset neurologic disease, so if nothing can be found that he may be looking for, please have him examined by your veterinarian, especially if he starts having any other abnormal behavior, trouble walking, trouble hearing, or other signs of neurologic disease. Anytime there is a sudden change in behavior, an exam with your veterinarian is recommended. Such a change can be due to trauma or infection. Considering the recent history, it is possible Kane may have suffered an injury which will need to be diagnosed and treated by your veterinarian. At the very least, he will get a clean bill of health and may simply be "shaken up" by recent events. If this is the case, he should gradually return to normal activity.

Shaking can sometimes be an indication of pain or discomfort in dogs or can be a symptom of certain endocrine diseases. I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. In this case, it is very hard to say for certain what is going on with Mya without examining her first. A veterinary exam would be a good place to start so she can be evaluated head to tail. Your veterinarian may recommend blood work and/or x-rays be run on Mya as well to help determine a diagnosis. I hope this helps and thanks again for posting!
