Is it normal for my healthy dog to hide under furniture to nap?

That could be completely normal and would not be a sign of any type of behavioral change or abnormality. He probably feels very comfortable sleeping anywhere in your house. Hi there! Ziggy is probably just going somewhere he feels safe. Under your couch is a place that is probably mostly dark and somewhat confined. This is why many people crate train their puppies-it gives them a place to feel safe and secure! Hope this helps you, and congrats on your new puppy!

There is no way to know exactly why Mya is exhibiting this new behavior. It could be as simple as she is just too hot in the bed, or feels nervous about jumping up or down, etc. As long as she seems completely normal otherwise, and has no vomiting, diarrhea, or other medical issues going on, I would try not to worry too much about it. I am so sorry that Brody was attacked by another dog, but I'm glad he's doing better! It could be that he was pretty traumatized by the attack, and that's why he's hiding more and trying to isolate himself. But it could also be related to a medical problem, as he may be hiding away because he doesn't feel well. Given his recent attack and the fact this behavior has increased since the attack, it would be a good idea to have him seen by a vet for a health check. The vet can diagnose if there is a medical illness behind his behavior, and can discuss treatment options with you. Silly Yogi! :) This is actually very common - many puppies and also adult dogs like to sleep under things, as it makes them feel more secure. One of my dogs actually likes to sleep with his head under the couch and his body sticking out; he's 9 years old now, and has always done this. As long as Yogi is acting normal otherwise, this shouldn't be any cause for concern.

He isn’t mad at you, just sleepy which is normal for a puppy his age. He will play longer as he gets older. Putting him in the crate after he sleeps is perfect! This is teaching him his crate is his den and a safe place to be. It sounds like you are doing a great job! Kisses to Groot!
