My dog is acting weird and clingy after a fight. Is he okay?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 48 lbs

... I'm worried about kane. He's not acting himself He won't let me out of his sight. He's acting paranoid. And like he needs all my attention. And I've been cleaning the house and he just stares at me. Worried I'm gonna leave or something. I'm worried he got brain damage from this guy, maybe hitting him in the head, trying to break up fight. Cause when i went running down the road kane was cowering back to me.

Anytime there is a sudden change in behavior, an exam with your veterinarian is recommended. Such a change can be due to trauma or infection. Considering the recent history, it is possible Kane may have suffered an injury which will need to be diagnosed and treated by your veterinarian. At the very least, he will get a clean bill of health and may simply be "shaken up" by recent events. If this is the case, he should gradually return to normal activity.
